Removing Barriers to Food Security
Feeding people is our priority, and that’s why we’re all about removing barriers to food security. Inadequate transportation and limited hours of operation can be barriers. With the help of our community partners, we’re working hard to eliminate these barriers. By distributing food and supplies through other organizations and charities throughout the community of Abbotsford, we’re able to bring life’s essentials closer to those who need them most. These community partner distribution points are called “Food Bank Satellites.”
Since opening Food Bank Satellites in 2017 many program partners are finding that when basic needs are being met, the program participation increase and trust is built with the service group. The outcome is enriched lives.

SATELLITES
Neighbourhood Satellite pick up is by appointment only.
If you or someone you know would like to pick up food in your neighbourhood, first please fill out the form (below) or call 604-859-5749 ext. 25.
Our Satellite coordinator will be in touch to arrange food pick up.
Each Neighbourhood Satellite has different distribution hours.
The goal is to make food available for people who would not be able to access food at Archway Food Bank during operating hours and to make food available closer to where people live.
